HUNTERSVILLE — Residents want to take you for a ride.

“North Carolina has really embraced Uber,” Naik said. “Riders have come to rely on us for safe, affordable and reliable rides, whether they’re outside the area or traveling around the Huntersville, NC Real Estate region.”

Naik is general manager of the Charlotte division of Uber, a growing business that offers customers rides that typically cost less than what it costs to take a taxi or public transportation.

Uber Transportation in Charlotte launched in September 2013. Service expanded to Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Concord earlier this month.

With the expansion, Naik said, 3 out of 5 people statewide now have access to Uber.

“With so many people heading to and from Huntersville to and from Lake Norman communities during the summer months, there was no better time to expand the Uber footprint in the Charlotte area,” he said.
