Concord Mills Flyover Bridge Approved

The busiest mall in NC is about to get a whole lot easier to access thanks to a massive new $10.2 million Concord Mills Flyover Bridge in Concord, North Carolina.

According to the NCDOT, the new two-lane flyover bridge will “connect Interstate 85 at Concord Mils Boulevard to Kings Grant Pavilion, the first main entrance to the mall complex. The bridge will replace the existing left turn lanes at the intersection, improving traffic flow on Concord Mills Boulevard.”

“It’s very important to have traffic management plan that doesn’t affect drivers and visitors in that area,” NCDOT spokeswoman Jennifer Thompson commented.

Concord Mills currently brings in roughly 17 million visitors each year.

Work on the new Concord Mills Flyover Bridge will start by May 1st, and is planned to be completed by June 15th, 2020.
